Whether it's a major distro release, a game-changing open-source tool, or a longform guide on customizing your desktop environment, we want to hear from you.</p><p><strong>XDA</strong> is looking for a <strong>Linux Writer</strong> to cover the latest in Linux news, distro reviews, command-line tutorials, open-source projects, and everything in between, in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.</p><p>The XDA team constantly scours the internet for the latest in mobile, computing, and open-source news. We publish tutorials, reviews, and guides, track custom ROMs and mods, and keep our community informed on emerging technologies. Now we’re looking to grow our Linux coverage.</p><h3>Job Responsibilities</h3><ul>
<li>Ability to contribute reliably and consistency (feed and feature) under tight deadlines.</li>
<li>Comfortable with pitching. </li>
<li>Willing to input work into our in-house CMS, as well as find and format images, according to our guidelines.</li>
<li>Stay up to date on the latest open source software news, products and updates.</li>
<li>Coordinate with the editorial team for assignments and feedback.</li>

<li>Ability to think analytically; applauding or criticizing aspects of the news source.</li>
<li>Expert knowledge and broad familiarity of open source software such as Linux. </li>
