Learn more at .</p></div><h3>Role</h3><p>We are looking for a product-oriented Senior Software Engineer to help us advance the use of our clinical AI. You’ll do this by building user-facing products that are deployed to hospital systems across the country. These include clinical notes capture, diagnosis refinement, content generation, and more. The ideal candidate for this role has a track record working with product managers and subject matter experts to distill complex requirements into incrementally valuable plans to build well-tailored, manageable software systems. This is a backend-leaning full-stack role working 75% backend and 25% frontend.</p><p><em>**This role is fully remote within the US**</em></p><h3>What You’ll Do</h3><ul>
<li>Design, build and launch new multi-product features and improve the overall quality of <a href="https://himalayas.app/companies/smarterdx">SmarterDx</a>’s apps</li>
<li>Design, build and launch reusable frontend components that are fully featured, responsive, and accessible to improve the overall quality of <a href="https://himalayas.app/companies/smarterdx">SmarterDx</a>’s apps</li>
<li>Collaborate across disciplines to understand our users and iterate on new ideas</li>
<li>Protect patients’ privacy and security through secure coding practices</li>
<li>Research and advocate for improved techniques, processes, and designs within the team</li>
<li>Support <a href="https://himalayas.app/companies/smarterdx">SmarterDx</a>’s apps in production</li>
</ul><h3>What You Bring</h3><ul>
<li>A desire to dive deep into a complex domain</li>
<li>5+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on user-facing solutions</li>
<li>Expertise with Python, Typescript and React</li>
<li>Experience working with systems that leverage LLMs</li>
<li>Experience working with Postgres or a similar relational database</li>
<li>Experience owning web applications end-to-end, from requirements gathering through QA and delivery</li>
<li>Experience working with product managers to plan, build, and iterate on deliverables</li>
<li>Experience working in a security-conscious environment</li>
<li>Excellent communication and team collaboration skills</li>
<li>Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience</li>

<li>Experience at a scale-up, or rapid growth, technology company </li>
<li>Experience designing and building information-dense user interfaces</li>
