<p><strong>Senior Data Engineer – Healthcare Technology</strong></p><p>Elevated Hires is recruiting a <strong>Senior Data Engineer</strong> to build and scale a modern healthcare data platform supporting analytics, care coordination, and value-based care. This position is ideal for an experienced engineer who can independently make high-impact architectural decisions and develop secure, reliable data systems.</p><p>Candidates located in Pittsburgh are preferred; qualified U.S.-based remote candidates will also be considered.</p><p>Key Responsibilities</p><ul class="list-disc list-outside leading-3 -mt-2">
<li class="leading-normal -mb-2"><p>Architect scalable, secure, and highly reliable data systems.</p></li>
<li class="leading-normal -mb-2"><p>Build and maintain production-grade pipelines that ingest, process, and enrich large volumes of healthcare data.</p></li>
<li class="leading-normal -mb-2"><p>Establish data-quality, governance, monitoring, and validation standards.</p></li>
<li class="leading-normal -mb-2"><p>Optimize system performance through query tuning, indexing, partitioning, and related strategies.</p></li>
<li class="leading-normal -mb-2"><p>Design and deploy cloud infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code practices.</p></li>
<li class="leading-normal -mb-2"><p>Protect sensitive healthcare information and maintain HIPAA and HITRUST compliance.</p></li>
<li class="leading-normal -mb-2"><p>Collaborate with engineering, product, analytics, and clinical operations teams.</p></li>
<li class="leading-normal -mb-2"><p>Contribute to system architecture, CI/CD, test automation, and DevOps standards.</p></li>
<li class="leading-normal -mb-2"><p>Simplify complex technical problems and make independent architectural decisions.</p></li>
</ul><p>Required Qualifications</p><ul class="list-disc list-outside leading-3 -mt-2">
<li class="leading-normal -mb-2"><p>At least five years of dedicated data engineering experience.</p></li>
<li class="leading-normal -mb-2"><p>Hands-on experience with Innovaccer’s Data Activation Platform, including ingestion frameworks, connectors, data models, and interoperability workflows.</p></li>
<li class="leading-normal -mb-2"><p>Expert SQL skills and advanced proficiency in Python or Scala.</p></li>
<li class="leading-normal -mb-2"><p>Experience with Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift.</p></li>
<li class="leading-normal -mb-2"><p>Knowledge of data-lake technologies such as Amazon S3 and Delta Lake.</p></li>
<li class="leading-normal -mb-2"><p>Experience with Apache Spark or Dask.</p></li>
<li class="leading-normal -mb-2"><p>Strong knowledge of AWS services, including S3, Lambda, and RDS.</p></li>
<li class="leading-normal -mb-2"><p>Experience with Apache Airflow or AWS Step Functions.</p></li>
<li class="leading-normal -mb-2"><p>Understanding of healthcare data, HIPAA, HITRUST, and FHIR.</p></li>
<li class="leading-normal -mb-2"><p>Strong background in system architecture, scalability, CI/CD, automated testing, and DevOps.</p></li>
<li class="leading-normal -mb-2"><p>Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.</p></li>
<li class="leading-normal -mb-2"><p>Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.</p></li>
<li class="leading-normal -mb-2"><p>Legal authorization to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.</p></li>
