<h3>This is a remote position.</h3><p>Our client is looking for a <b>Restoration Estimator & Claims Specialist</b> to manage restoration estimates and insurance claims from initial write-up and documentation through approval and final payment. They operate in the property restoration industry, providing comprehensive solutions for property damage, remediation, reconstruction, and recovery. </p><p>This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with hands-on Xactimate experience and a strong understanding of property insurance claims. The successful candidate will prepare accurate estimates, assemble complete claim files, communicate with adjusters and clients, manage supplements and discrepancies, and maintain consistent follow-up until every file reaches closure. </p><p>The position plays a significant role in the company's cash flow, managing an estimated $2–4 million in written and collected volume annually. </p><h3>Responsibilities <ul>
<li>Prepare complete and accurate Xactimate invoices for restoration projects within 24 hours of job completion. </li>
<li>Create accurate sketches and scope documentation according to restoration industry and insurance carrier standards. </li>
<li>Compile supporting documentation, including photos, moisture logs, signed service agreements, and other required claim records. </li>
<li>Submit complete estimate and documentation packages to insurance carriers or adjusters within 48 hours of job completion. </li>
<li>Maintain a structured follow-up schedule for all active insurance claims. </li>
<li>Track each claim throughout review, approval, and payment until the outstanding balance is collected in full. </li>
<li>Identify and address claim discrepancies, supplemental estimate requirements, and adjuster objections that may delay payment. </li>
<li>Communicate directly with clients regarding their financial responsibility on insurance-related projects. </li>
<li>Manage invoicing, collections, and payment follow-up for private-pay projects. </li>
<li>Maintain detailed and accurate records of all communications with clients, insurance carriers, adjusters, and internal team members. </li>
<li>Monitor and respond to both shared company and individual email inboxes. </li>
<li>Collaborate closely with Project Managers to ensure project scope, documentation, estimates, and claim status remain aligned. </li>
<li>Serve as a professional point of contact for clients and insurance representatives throughout the claims process </li>

</h3><h3>Requirements</h3><ul>
<li>Hands-on experience using Xactimate for estimating and sketching. </li>
<li>Xactimate Level 2 (Proficiency) certification is required. </li>
<li>Previous experience with insurance claim closure within property restoration, construction, or a closely related field. </li>
<li>Strong understanding of the property insurance claims lifecycle, including estimate/invoice submission, supplements, adjuster negotiations, and payment collection. </li>
<li>Excellent written and verbal English communication skills. </li>
<li>Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy. </li>
<li>Excellent organizational and time-management abilities. </li>
<li>Proven ability to manage a high volume of active files and consistently meet deadlines. </li>
<li>Strong customer service skills with a professional phone and email presence. </li>
<li>Comfortable managing shared email inboxes and collaborating with Project Managers and administrative teams. </li>
</ul><h3>Qualifications </h3><p>The following qualifications are preferred but not required: </p><ul>
<li>Xactimate Level 3 (Mastery) certification. </li>
<li>Experience handling claims involving water damage, mold remediation, fire restoration, reconstruction, or abatement. </li>
<li>Experience with restoration CRM or job-management platforms such as DASH, Encircle, CompanyCam, Jobber, or similar systems. </li>
<li>IICRC certifications. </li>
