</ul><p><strong>Send your responses to </strong><strong></strong></p><h3>Overview</h3><p>1) The Pacific Patrol Boat Systems Program Officer (PPBSPO) has a requirement to engage a Configuration Officer (CO) to support the PPBSPO Engineering Manager until end of June 2023.<br><br>2) This role requires extensive experience in the utilisation and management of configuration management tools, preferably from a Defence maritime environment, to support activities that lead to high quality management of maritime configuration baselines.<br><br>3) The CO will be the lead configuration control subject matter expert within PPBSPO and responsible for the provision of configuration management advice to achieve outcomes in a dynamic and evolving Support System.<br><br>4) The CO is expected to develop and maintain close working relationships with all relevant internal and external stakeholders including:</p><h3>a) Internal</h3><p>i) Pacific Maritime Security Program;<br>ii) PPBSPO Engineering Section including handover to future APS6 Configuration Officer;<br>iii) PPBSPO Sustainment Section; and<br>iv) PPBSPO Director and Commercial Section.<br><br>b) External<br>i) PPBSPO In-service Support Contractor (PPBSPO ISSC);<br>ii) Naval Materiel Seaworthiness Assurance Agency (NMSwAA);<br>iii) Navy Technical Bureau, and Configuration Management Assurance Group Staff Technical Support Network; and,<br>iv) Directorate of Navy Engineering Policy, Publications & Programs.<br><br>5) The CO will be required to:<br><br>a) Lead and manage maintenance of the PPBSPO Configuration Management Plan, associated Engineering Quality Management System (QMS) Plans and Work Instructions;<br>b) Support PPBSPO compliance with the intent of Defence Seaworthiness Management System (DSwMS), particularly the configuration aspects of:<br>i) compliance of engineering change management activities with PPBSPO Plans and Procedures; and<br>ii) compliance of the engineering change management program with the intent of DSwMS by the ISSC;<br>c) Assure PPBSPO Technical Support Network configuration management compliance;<br>d) Provide subject matter expert advice and effectively act as an Engineering Configuration Subject Matter Expert;<br>e) Provide Configuration Management services to the PPBSPO Sustainment Section; and <br>f) Provide specialist Configuration Management advice and directly support the Principal Engineer in his conduct of Design Acceptance Authority Representative activities in support of PPBSPO products.<br><br>6) The following skills, experience and qualifications are required:<br>a) Experience and qualifications in Technical - Configuration Management. The ability to provide subject matter expert advice and effectively act as a Level 2 Practitioner as required;<br>b) Effective communication and ability to write, engage, persuade and achieve effective outcomes at the executive level;<br>c) Contract Management acumen; and<br>d) Highly proficient in Microsoft applications including MS Word and Excel.
