If you have a background in mechanical engineering, aerospace, or industrial design and thrive on technical precision, this is an exciting chance to impact the future of engineering design support tools.</p><h3>Scope of Work</h3><ol> <li>Author objective, multi-part questions about aerospace assemblies, focusing on non-guessable queries that require exact, technical answers.</li> <li>Review native FreeCAD files to analyze and understand complex mechanical assemblies.</li> <li>Develop several high-quality questions per assembly, ensuring coverage of key features, functions, and relationships between parts.</li> <li>Deliver clear, well-researched answers to each question with reference to the assembly data.</li> <li>Collaborate via writing and occasional verbal communication to clarify requirements and ensure technical accuracy.</li> <li>Maintain a standards-driven approach, ensuring questions and answers are comprehensive, relevant, and program-agnostic.</li> <li>Contribute to documentation and feedback processes to improve future question sets and project workflows.</li> </ol><h3>Preferred Qualifications</h3><ol> <li>Demonstrated expertise in aerospace, mechanical engineering, or industrial design with a strong foundation in CAD principles.</li> <li>Hands-on experience with multi-part CAD assemblies, including ability to interpret complex design intent and technical drawings.</li> <li>Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to convey technical concepts clearly and concisely.</li> <li>Familiarity with FreeCAD or similar CAD platforms (FreeCAD exposure is a plus, not required).</li> <li>Proven ability to author precise technical questions and answers, ideally in an educational or documentation context.</li> <li>Strong attention to detail and commitment to providing high-quality, objective content.</li> <li>Interest in advancing technology and supporting the development of intelligent design systems.</li> </ol><p>Originally posted on <a href="https://himalayas.app">Himalayas</a></p>
